Ruthmere

This 1910 Beaux Arts style mansion with unique prairie style accents was the home of Albert and Elizabeth Beardsley. The Beardsleys made their fortune with the Miles Medical Company, famous for products such as Alka Seltzer and One A Day Vitamins. Ruthmere's collections reflect an exquisite restoration under great-grand nephew Robert Beardsley during 1969-1973. During this time, he and his art collector father Walter Beardsley brought to Ruthmere fine and decorative arts, including Rodin sculptures, Tiffany lamps, and an excellent collection of American paintings.
