Description:

Responsibilities:
On the threshold of this exciting new chapter, as Chief Executive Officer and Director you will orchestrate this voyage of discovery. Working in partnership with the Board of Trustees, you will craft a vivid vision that captures the hearts and minds of all stakeholders and communicate it in a way that is universally meaningful and accessible. As the Museum's chief ambassador at home and abroad, you will advocate for public and private sector support, showcase its world class research, programs and collections and drive its position as a leader in the social media and digital world. Create innovative, one of a kind exhibits and programs that command attention and drive up attendance by enticing visitors to return again and again, making the ROM even more compelling to members, sponsors and donors.

Educational Requirements:
Candidates must have a Master's Degree in Library Science and two years' experience cataloguing and visual materials. Knowledge of museum cataloguing techniques and museum software strongly preferred. The individual must have outstanding research skills and the ability to effectively manage time. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills as well as strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook) are required.

You inspire high levels of employee engagement and have demonstrated the ability to lead a diverse talent pool to new heights of performance. You can exploit new media to reach new audiences in attention-grabbing ways. As a champion of the Museum's interests, you will be comfortable playing a central role in fundraising activities.
