The Museum Registrar is responsible for overseeing collection records, overseeing movement of art and assisting with installations of exhibits.

Responsibilities:
1. Maintaining records of storage, exhibit, and loan locations of all objects in collection;
2. Assisting with incoming and outgoing paperwork for exhibitions and loans;
3. Assisting with handling, packing, movement, and inspection of all objects entering or leaving establishment;
4. Assisting with installations of exhibits;
5. Arranging for insurance of objects on loan, as well as making recommendations on insurance coverage;
6. Managing the collections database and processing requests for photographs, rights and reproductions;
7. Assisting Associate Director and Curator of Exhibitions with daily tasks.

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor'ss is required, preferably in Art History. Master's is preferred. A minimum of four year's previous museum experience in the field of museum registration is required.

Skills:
Candidates must demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills to effectively communicate with a wide range of constituents. Must also demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in writing.

Candidates must possess strong organizational and project management skills to effectively prioritize and achieve deadlines on multiple projects. Must also possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. A strong focus on attention to detail is essential.

Candidate must possess basic knowledge and previous experience in art handling, database computer skills, and record keeping. The person in this role will be required to work in both office and gallery settings. The ability to be flexible and adapt quickly to changing priorities and deadlines is essential. Candidates must be able to travel for up to two weeks at a time.

Candidates must possess the ability to use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things. Must also possess the ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Experience with digital photography and archiving is a plus. Fluency in Spanish, including reading, writing, and speaking is strongly preferred.
