Description:
The Nevada Test Site Historical Foundation (NTSHF) seeks a Director of the Atomic Testing Museum and Chief Administrator of the NTSHF.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will work with the museum's staff and Trustees to develop a long-range business and planning process and implement the plan with emphasis on increasing the museum's revenue; will be responsible for managing and operating the museum, planning and implementing marketing and fundraising strategies, planning and implementing policies for the museum's operation and management, supervising museum staff and volunteers, acting as the museum's representative and spokesperson to the community, providing reports to the BoT, serving as the Board's public representative & striving for American Association of Museums National Standards of Accrediatation.
Educational Requirements:
The successful candidate will have five plus years of leadership and exhibit a significant record of leadership and accomplishment. An advanced degree is desirable.
Skills:
Required experience includes exceptional planning and management skills, seeking and overseeing major government grants, ability to communicate effectively, experience working with boards and volunters, successful record of fundraising and securing major gifts, excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills and expertise in the budgeting process. Marketing and public relations experience is highly desirable.
