Description:
Envisioned as a center that would nurture artists, celebrate the dramatic new Studio Glass movement, and encourage creativity, the Museum of Glass has become part of a larger cultural district after years of visionary leadership, energy, and hard work. The Museum provides a dynamic learning environment to appreciate the medium of glass through creative experiences, collections, and exhibitions. A stunning and iconic contemporary art museum, the Museum of Glass is uniquely positioned to engage the public in ways few other museums can — where creativity ignites into art.

Responsibilities:
We seek an ambitious and inspiring Director of Advancement who is drawn to the exciting work of building new and innovative fund development strategies for an internationally renowned organization. The successful candidate will have led and contributed to creating sophisticated fund development programs in the past, and be excited by the entrepreneurial spirit inherent in an early-stage organizational culture. He/She will have a personal connection to the Museum's mission, be passionate about art, and committed to an institution that welcomes, inspires, and educates. The Museum of Glass attracts globally significant artists and while not required, the ideal candidate will have significant exposure within the national or international arts community and have the communication skills necessary to effectively advocate for the Museum's long-term benefit.

Educational Requirements:
A minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in a development function, or similar role is required. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a Master's degree preferred.

Skills:
Extensive knowledge of fundraising principles and techniques with a proven ability to secure philanthropic donations is necessary. Strong skills and understanding of donor-related technology and research is necessary.
