Description:
The Appleton Museum of Art is currently seeking a Museum Registrar.

The mission of the Appleton Museum of Art is to provide a center of cultural awareness, artistic expression and educational activity which serves the citizens of our community, the State of Florida, and its visitors.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include over-seeing preparation, care registration and maintaining inventory of the art collection at the Museum.

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in art, art history, museum studies or closely related field is required.

Two years of registration or collection management experience in a museum is required.

Skills:
Knowledge of American Association of Museums standard museum principles, practices and procedures for collections management. Knowledge of research tools and methodologies. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Computer literate (word processing and database management). Ability to lift and move art and artifacts appropriately.
