Description:
Seeking a highly motivated and professional Retail Manager with 2-4 years of experience to provide oversight and direct general merchandise operations of satellite store. In addition, the Retail Manager will act as a general office assistant to the Exhibition Director.
The position is based out of a Dallas museum and requires an individual who can work on the sales floor as well as in an office setting.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise store staff and delegate duties as needed
• Keep a controlled and accurate inventory
• Merchandise store according to set guidelines
• Independently manage most of the day-to-day operations of the retail store.
• Oversight of the online store; including but not limited to, making updates, shipping orders, providing customer service and processing returns
• Assist Exhibition Director in all aspects of operations management
- Running office errands
- General reporting
- Supporting Exhibition Director as requested.
The Retail Manager reports directly to the Exhibition Director and to the National Retail Liaison.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
-2-5 years of related experience, with at least 1 year of managerial experience
-An advanced education degree, BA/BS preferred
-High level of computer skills including Excel, Word Processing, and knowledge of database software.
-Working knowledge of HTML
-Experience working POS system
-Available to start immediately
