Sponored by the Association for Living History, Farm and Agricultural Museums June 22-26, 2008 in Ottawa, Ontario Plans are well underway for the 2008 ALHFAM Conference. The Conference will take place in Ottawa, Ontario. Situated on the historic Ottawa River, this “lumber town” was chosen by Queen Victoria in 1857 to become Canada’s National Capital. The region is home to Canada’s National Museums including the Canada Agriculture Museum, as well as several other federal institutions and historic sites. Co-hosting the conference is Upper Canada Village, one of Canada’s oldest and most omprehensive living history museums representing an 1860’s rural community. Additional Info: |
